My new project, a Podcast, is now available on Spotify.
The Noise of Art is a podcast dedicated to Art and Music. As a journalist, producer of cultural events and art curator, I’ve spent the last 20 years(+) working with countless very talented artists. The ideia is to talk to visual artists, curators and music producers, from all over the world, about artistic processes, art market and also about releases, labels, new technologies, in a light and uncomplicated way.
The Soundtrack and the Cover Art
The soundtrack for this Podcast was specially produced by Maurizio Bonito, co-founder of one of the first Brazilian electronic music labels, Cri du Chat disques. The cover art was made from a 2020 painting by the Brazilian artist Oscar Fortunato and inspired by the cover of the new album by master of masters Laurent Garnier (France), 33 Tours Et Puis S´en Vont, released last week after long years of gap between his last album.
First Episode: Polynator
In the first episode, I interview Belgian electronic music producer Wim Van den Borre, who was in Berlin in May 2023 to launch his Polynator app at Superbooth, the world’s largest trade show and festival focusing on electronic music instruments.
Polynator turns samplers into polyphonic synthesizers, offering a versatile tool designed to enhance the musical experience with TR8S and other samplers such as Digitakt. It enables music producers to play these instruments polyphonically, incorporating pitch-bend, customizable mod wheel and aftertouch values.
With Polynator, users can effortlessly record sequences into Digitakt, capturing their creative ideas seamlessly. While the TR8S cannot currently be directly recorded into, Polynator allows it to be played with all the advantages provided by the tool. Additionally, Polynator seamlessly integrates the TR8S with external sequencers, ensuring precise pitch sequencing for music compositions, further enriching the production process.
